Quick answers

Can overseas visitors book golf in Japan?
Overseas visitors can request tee times at courses that accept them. Golf Caddie Japan checks the course's visitor conditions and availability, handles reservation communication in Japanese and confirms the agreed booking in English. Some clubs require a member introduction; not every course or date can be booked.
How much does it cost?
Our fee is ¥6,000 (about US$40) per player per round, including tax. For one-player enquiries received on or after 1 November 2026, the fee is ¥8,000 per round, including tax. The fee is paid by card after you approve a written quote. Green fees (typically ¥12,500–¥30,000) are paid directly to the course on the day. There is no markup on green fees.
How do I book?
Send us your dates, group size, budget and where you're staying. We reply within 24 hours with course options and a written quote, based on our records of which clubs accept overseas visitors. Once you pay the service fee, we contact the course to secure your tee time and confirm the final price with you before booking. If we can't secure it, or you decide not to go ahead at the confirmed price, the fee is refunded in full. We then book the tee time, rental clubs and caddie, and send an English day guide.
Can I book golf in Japan if I'm travelling alone?
Yes. There is no minimum group size on our side, so a single player can send a request. Whether a course takes a solo player depends on its visitor rules for that date; we check this for you and suggest courses that accept one player, either paired with other golfers or playing on your own where the course allows it. For enquiries received on or after 1 November 2026, the service fee for one player is ¥8,000 per round.
Which areas of Japan do you cover?
We can request tee times at visitor-friendly golf courses in all 47 prefectures, from Hokkaido to Okinawa — including courses that are not in our course directory. We check each course's visitor conditions and availability before confirming whether we can assist.
Can someone play with me if I'm travelling alone?
We may be able to arrange a playing partner, subject to availability on your date: a local golfer who speaks English, or a golf teaching professional for a practice session with a 9-hole playing lesson, or to play all 18 holes with you. English ability varies from person to person. We quote the price, what it includes and the cancellation terms separately before you commit to anything.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel at least 14 days before your tee time and we refund our service fee in full. Within 14 days, the service fee is non-refundable. Any cancellation charges set by the golf course are separate and shown in your quote.
Is it worth playing golf in Japan?
Yes. Japanese courses are famously well-kept, and green fees are lower than most visitors expect — around ¥12,500 on a weekday, lunch usually included, against ¥25,000+ for a comparable course in the US or Europe. Add mountain views, immaculate greens and a hot bath after the round.
Is golf popular in Japan?
Very. Japan has more than 2,000 courses and the second-largest golfing population in the world after the United States. Tee sheets fill early on weekends and right through the autumn season, which is why booking ahead — in Japanese — matters.
Are golf clubs in Japan cheaper?
Japanese-made clubs are often cheaper bought in Japan than abroad. If you'd rather travel light, almost every course rents sets for roughly ¥3,000–5,000 per round, and we arrange them with your booking — just tell us right- or left-handed.

The wall between you and the round

Japan has 2,000+ spectacular courses.Booking one shouldn't require reading kanji.

Most Japanese golf courses take reservations only in Japanese — by phone, or on booking sites that need a local address. That's the wall between you and some of the best-value championship golf on earth. We're the caddie who carries that part for you.

In their words

Golfers who let us book their round

Booking golf tee times in Japan as a foreigner can be incredibly difficult, but this company made the entire experience effortless. Their communication was outstanding—they responded quickly, answered every question, and kept us informed every step of the way. They handled all of the scheduling and logistics with incredible efficiency, making the entire process completely stress-free.

Our family of four had an unforgettable day on the course. The golf was fantastic, and the traditional lunch served between the front and back nine was an amazing experience that made the day even more memorable. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish.

If you're traveling to Japan and want to play golf, I can't recommend this service enough. It is by far the easiest and most convenient way to book tee times, and I truly don't think we could have done it without them. Any foreign golfer visiting Japan should absolutely use this service. We'll definitely be booking through them again on our next trip!
