Shamrock is the closest golf course to New Chitose Airport: five kilometres, which the club puts at about eight minutes by car, or five minutes and roughly ¥1,500 in a taxi from the terminal. If you are landing in Hokkaido and want to play the same day, or want a round before an evening flight home, that proximity is the whole argument for it.
It opened on 3 June 1984 out on the Yufutsu plain, and it is flat — the club gives the total elevation change across all eighteen holes as five to six metres. What it has instead of contour is width, water and sand: ponds and bunkers set through a tree-lined routing across 490,000 square metres. The club credits the design to Kajitani (梶谷穂月), and says the holes were drawn after studying courses abroad. It singles out the 3rd, a par three, and the 6th and 16th, both par fours, as the ones that decide your card. From the back tees it measures 6,872 yards against a par of 72; the regular tees play 6,265.
You can take a caddie or play self with a riding cart. There is a twenty-two-bay practice range running to 200 yards, a restaurant, and rentals — a set of clubs at ¥6,600 and shoes at ¥1,100 — which matter if you are flying in without your own bag.
The club publishes its visitor rates in full. Self-play is ¥8,564 on weekdays and ¥16,510 at weekends and on public holidays; with a caddie it is ¥9,800 and ¥17,746. It also runs its own shuttle between the airport and the course, by reservation and on request: it leaves the airport at 8:25, 11:30 and 12:30, leaves the course at 14:20, 15:20, 16:45 and 17:45, and does not run for a single passenger. We do not arrange transport ourselves — that shuttle is the club's own service, and we pass on the details when we confirm your round.

Is there an airport shuttle?+
The club runs one itself, by reservation and on request, between New Chitose Airport and the course — departing the airport at 8:25, 11:30 and 12:30, and the course at 14:20, 15:20, 16:45 and 17:45. It does not run for a single passenger, and it does not serve hotels or car rental offices. We do not arrange transport ourselves, but we will give you the details and the number to book it.
Can overseas visitors play?+
Yes. We telephoned the club and confirmed that it accepts bookings made on a visitor's behalf (August 2026). Reservations are taken in Japanese, which is the part we handle. We will still confirm your specific date with the club before you pay anything.

When is the season?+
The club does not publish a closing date, but its own competition calendar runs from late April to early October, which is a fair guide to the Hokkaido season. Tell us your date and we will confirm it is inside the playing year before anything is paid.
